There was a lot to see and we could have done with more time to appreciate it all.

batsford arboretum

We stopped at Batsford Arboretum for a delicious lunch and a little retail therapy in the garden centre. I bought a penstemon 'Garnet' and Peter bought some alpines.

We enjoyed tea and cake before our journey home	By the time we left the sun had come round enough to light up the hanging basket. It was a very enjoyable day out.
