There was a lot to see and we could have done with more time to appreciate it all.

batsford arboretum

We stopped at Batsford Arboretum for a delicious lunch and a little retail therapy in the garden centre.   I bought a penstemon 'Garnet' and Peter bought some alpines.

By the time we left the sun had come round enough to light up the hanging basket.

It was a very enjoyable day out.
